But don’t let that set you back, don’t be afraid to come out,” Price said. “A lot of people see this stuff and they’re like man it looks intense, and it is. The second place team received a trophy and two silver medals while the third place team received a trophy and two bronze medals. They received a large trophy with two gold medals. In first place was Team Aaron, led by Aaron Price and a JTF Trooper. The top three teams received a trophy and two medals. They didn’t train properly so we probably shouldn’t progress them.”Īfter five events, six teams remained in the competition. “We always have a few that can pull short and that’s why we cut two or three teams after the first two events. “We hope that they are training properly,” Heninger said. An event list is announced a month in advance to avoid surprises to the competitors. Prior to the Max Performance games, MWR conducts a rules clinic where competitors can learn about the events in which they will perform. The team with the most points at the end of the games will be crowned as the Max Performance Champions. The better positioning increases their chances of being eligible to compete in the final heat while accumulating points throughout the events. The goal for each team in the games is to be in the top three or four of each event. We want to reserve that for the teams that are in the best shape.” Doing five events in one day is going to be really tough. “We cut off two or three teams every two events because if you’re at the bottom, you probably shouldn’t do anymore. “The teams which are competing and winning in these games are going to be at higher levels in all three factions,” said Kaleb Heninger, the MWR Fitness Coordinator. The pairs who remain in the competition demonstrate top conditioning for the event. In the games, a total of 12 teams compete in events which test their level of physical conditioning. ![]() MWR holds the event twice a year as a spin-off from the Max Performance group exercise class held Monday through Friday at 6:30 p.m. The winning team must demonstrate high levels of fitness in all of these areas. The Max Performance Games is a test of speed, endurance and strength.
